Mos Def's Music Tee: The Ecstatic

Mos Def's lastest album The Ecstatic will be the first full album to be released in tee shirt form. Thankfully nothing like the wearable instrument shirt - (yes it is a real thing) - there's a picture of the album cover on the front, the tracklist on the back, and a hang-tag with a code to download it in MP3 format. Just for the record the tee shirt will look like the picture below and not the one I fashioned above. (sorry)
A collaboration between fashion/music company Invisible DJ and Californian fashion label LnA - Mos Def's tee shirt album retails at €39 - pretty pricey considering you can buy the album for about €9 on Amazon etc. So the ever increasing crossover between fashion and music plays its part in the struggle to find new ways to get people to pay for music. Just like the circle of life but with tee shirts instead of lions.

Chromeo & Surface To Air Tee Released

We know there are a few Chromeo fans among the ClimaXXX readership so just in case you haven't heard already, the pair have teamed up with French design house Surface To Air to create their own line for the fashion brand. As a little 'tee-ser' S2A have released this leggy tee (pictured) featuring the album artowrk and logo but we can look forward to the actual Chromeo collection early next year. P-Thugg had this to say: “I’m going to do a varsity jacket and a hoodie, and Dave is going to do a Western shirt and a jacket, we’re going to create pieces that match our style.”

Fashion History for just 5G's

A piece of fashion history is up for grabs over on Ebay. One of comedys most famous fathers is auctioning off part of his on-screen wardrobe to raise money for his educational charity. That's right, Bill Cosby has decided to unleash his jumpers on the world and what a collection he has. So far only three are available but such is the quality of these items that we can only hope he will delve further into his wardrobe to dig up some more gems. Bidding starts at a mere €5000, so far there have been no offers. While I am not a huge Cosby fan this does give me hope that someday Mark-Paul Gosselaar will post something, sadly, not as of yet.

Joy In the Hood

Everybody loves a hoodie, well the hood part anyway, sometimes the rest is just... pointless, and with so-called summer on the way you might find you're too hot for your hoodie (and not in the good way). so what to do?

Well, when I was in San Fran a while back, i met a guy who solved all these problems. His label is called Official Tourist and he custom makes some glamma hoods, as modeled by this tramp here. Not only are the hoodies deadly, his website is too. MAXXX your style, and support independent fashion.
